How long have you been blogging?

I started my design and simple living blog, Refreshed Designs, in 2011 as a way to transfer what I was learning as I took courses in interior design, sustainable design and photography.  There are currently over 400 blog posts on that site. Pure and Lovely Things came to life  in early 2018. My first short story was written when I was 12, but it only lives in a storage box in my parents' basement.

What kind of clients do you write for?

I write for universities who need stories for their alumni newsletters and magazines, faculty websites and  social media pages. I write for blogs that teach how to live simply. I write for shelter magazines and decor websites. And I write for businesses who need engaging content for their customers.

Where are you located?

In beautiful Fredericton, New Brunswick, on the east coast of Canada.

What's your Educational Background?

I graduated from the University of New Brunswick with an BA in English and earned a post-graduate certificate in Public Relations from Niagara College. I completed two-thirds of an MBA program but never felt the need to spend time in the classes I wasn't interested in, so I don't have the letters beside my name. Instead, I soaked up colour theory and the history of furniture design from the New York Institute of  Art and Design. Much more enjoyable than finance!

Who takes your photography?

I take all of the photos seen on this blog, on my Instagram account and on Refreshed Designs. You're welcome to use them but please give credit and link back.

What are Your favourite things?

Coffee, toast and sunshine. Also cleaning (yes, I'm that person). Oh, and Milo Ventimiglia.
